Customer feedback:

1. I received this hard drive about a week ago for Mac OS 10.5.2 Time Machine. The drive looks and works great. I own a Mac Pro so as you can see in the Amazon ad, this thing is like a "mini me" of the Mac Pro which I think is the coolest part of it. I have had no problems (yet) with this HD and I honestly do not see it happening.
Iomega has been around for so many years and I trust their products. There is indeed ONLY one drawback to this drive. When the drive is reading and writing, it could get a little loud. I don't think this would justify one less star because the hard drive itself works perfectly so far. The firewire 400 speed is just fine for Time Machine once per hour.

2. I've had this external drive for a couple weeks now and it's running fine. I don't find it very loud or bothersome.

T-Mobile Sidekick Black Phone (T-Mobile)

Combining the best features of the earlier iD and LX models, the T-Mobile Sidekick is a great way to chat on popular instant messaging services, connect with friends on MySpace, and easily record and share photos and videos. This new model for 2008 sports a slightly smaller, thinner and lighter design than previous Sidekicks, and it offers a high-resolution 2.6-inch slide-out display and changeable custom covers. The new Sidekick also features an integrated Spanish user interface--the first for a Sidekick device. Other features include a 2-megapixel camera/camcorder, MicroSD memory expansion (512 MB card included), digital audio player, Bluetooth stereo music streaming, Spanish language support, two interchangeable shells (black and green) and up to 5 hours of talk time.
This phone operates on GSM 850/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via T-Mobile's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"). This high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.

Customer feedback:

I got this phone for my birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
It has a 2.0 mega-pixel camera which i must admit isn't that great but come on, its just a camera phone.
Fully loaded internet access. Only thing you cant do is view videos from the net.
Instant messaging (ex. Aol, Msn, Icq, Yahoo)
E-mails from any of your favorite email providers
Speakerphone
Video Capture and Playback
Mp3 player compatible with most music formats
Text and Picture Messaging
Download your favorite wallpapers, screen savers, and ringtones right from the phone
Organizer
Alarm
Notebook
Memo Pad
Games
The only complain I have is that all t-mobile sidekicks (all models) sometimes lose service for a few minutes which enables you to gain access to the internet and instant messaging for a few moments.

Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED Autofocus VR Zoom Nikkor Lens

AF Nikkor lenses work with Nikon SLRs for optimal performance, even the very latest. The Nikon 80-400mm f4.5-5.6D ED AF VR is a compact, lightweight 5x telephoto zoom with Vibration Reduction. VR operation offers the equivalent of using a shutter speed three stops (eight times) faster. VR is automatically detected during panning operation with two modes of VR: Image plane and Viewfinder. VR for the viewfinder is cancelable to conserve battery power. Three ED glass elements ensure superior optical performance and high contrast even at maximum apertures. Filter does not rotate during zooming. The nine-blade rounded diaphragm achieves a natural blur for out-of-focus elements.
D-type and G-type Nikkors relay subject-to-camera distance information to AF Nikon camera bodies. This then makes possible advances like 3D Matrix Metering and 3D Multi-Sensor Balanced Fill-Flash. Note: D-type and G-type Nikkors provide distance information to the following cameras: Auto exposure; F6, F5, F100, F90X, F80, F75, F70, F65, F60, F55, F50, Pronea S, Pronea 600i, D2 series, D1 series, D100 and D70s/D70. Flash control; F6, F5, F100, F90X, F80, F75, F70, D2 series, D1 series, D100, and D70s/D70 cameras.

Customer feedback:

1. Many photographers who purchase telephoto lenses wind up disappointed in their lenses' performance; they achieve subpar results and then swear that the lens is "not sharp." Some lenses indeed might not be optically outstanding, but even in these cases the major cause of soft images, particularly when camera and lens are handheld, is camera/lens shake. People routinely try to take highly magnified photos at shutter speeds that are simply too slow.
Nikon has come up with a (partial) solution to this problem through its innovative "vibration reduction" series of lenses. These optics are designed to compensate, at least partially, for the camera shake/movement that is inevitable when a lens is hand-held. According to Nikon, the VR mechanism adds two or more "stops" worth of steadiness, meaning that a 400mm. lens that previously might be adequately handheld at 1/500 second now will (often) produce good results at 1/125. Out in the field this can make the difference between a successful photo outing and a frustrating one.
Does this technology work, and is this 80-400mm. lens a good product overall? To both questions I offer a qualified "yes." As long as one realizes that VR is not magic and has definite limitations, this feature is definitely worth paying some extra money for, particularly if one's photographic style prevents the regular and disciplined use of a tripod. The other thing about VR to keep in mind is that since camera shake itself is variable, it's a good idea always to take multiple photos to ensure that at least one of them is optimally sharp (a slow-mo record of how much one 'vibrates' while holding a camera would reveal that from instant to instant there is considerable variation).

2. This is a great lens and takes simply amazing pictures. The results are much better than what you will get with the "plain" 70-300 telephoto lens. That being said, there are a few things to consider.
a) the lens is expensive. It cost more than my D70 did...
b) the lens is HEAVY. When lugging this baby around, you know *something* is in that camera bag...
c) the focus is SLOW, particularly compared to the 70-300.
However, using the tripod mount as a "handle" (an awkward but effective use of the mounting bracket), I got some shots that simply blew me away given the amount of perceived camera shake. I do not have very steady hands (particularly with something so heavy) so the VR feature is invaluable.

Nikon - Filter - protection - 77 mm

Nikon is a precision optical company with worldwide manufacturing, research and marketing capabilities. The Nikon name is equated with extraordinary photographic performance, innovation, precision and optical quality.

This piece is a Clear optical glass; used as a lens protecto.

Customer feedback:

1. UV Filters are usually most people buy just mainly to protect the lens, so am I. I never picky about UV or NC filters, so I settled all my filters on Hoya (reason is I bought few of the Hoya special filters such as Circular Polarizer, and Star-8) and I used to love Hoya filters until a month ago.
I got myself a 2nd hand Nikkor 105mm VR Macro F2.8, the previous owner sold it to me together with the Nikon 62mm NC Filter attached. I was amazed by the clarity the Nikon NC Filter was. You can test it out by simply putting the filters on top of a piece of white paper to check the clarity. Hoya UV had a slight yellowish, else Nikon is clearly a winner.

Nikon - Filter - protection - 77 mm

2. recently bought the Nikon 12-24mm wideangle zoom lens and bought this UV filter to protect it. It is very thin and it does not make any difference in your field of view which is what you look for with a wideangle like this. I strongly recommend UV filters to protect lenses. The other day my wife accidentaly (that's what she told me!!!) drop my Nikon D200 which had the Nikon 18-200 VR zoom lens. It was inside its bag but when I took it out to take a picture I heard a terrifying noise... broken glass. When I started to see what it was I saw the lens-cap inside the filter ring and it was so stucked that I had to unscrew the filter in order to check my lens. Fortunately the filter was the only thing broken. If that filter hadn't been there the broken thing would have been my precious lens and a heart attack would had come later.
With your eyes closed protect your lenses with UV filters and I strongly recommend this one for any 77mm filter sized lens, even a wideangle.

Customer feedback:

1. I was about to purchase one of the older F.A. Porsche disks when I stumbled upon this one last week. I purchased this to primarily be the Time Machine disk for my 230GB iMac (Leopard). In the spirit of a nearly all-wireless iMac, I wanted the disk to be as inconspicuous as possible. The glossy black enclosure is nearly invisible sitting under the iMac on our black desk. The only truly visible feature is the ambient blue light beneath the front, but that's just cool. There are no markings whatsoever on the front or top of the drive.
Out of the box, the drive is easy to setup. After plugging it in, the Setup Assistant popped right up and had the drive properly formatted in just a couple of minutes. Then, Time Machine popped up automatically and presented the options to use the new disk.

2. I love this product. I just bought it a month ago. Easy to set up, it's fast, it's got huge storage and such a sleek design.

Customer feedback:

1. Pros
+ Great capacity options at good prices available in this line of products
+ Nice portable form factor that easily connects via USB
+ USB powered, no A/C required, which is great for portability
+ Works well on Windows Vista, XP and Mac OS X
+ Easy to set up disk encryption for security and privacy
+ Nice looks, and cool color options for those that care about that
+ Turns on and off with your computer or easily ejected via system tray
+ Easy plug-and-play installation
+ Integrates nicely with my growing stable of WD MyBook drives
+ Included software may be useful for some novices
+ Drives are sufficiently durable holding up to normal use over time
+ 320 GB capacity is just about right for most users

Cons
- Somewhat slow file transfer speeds for larger backups
- Included software not useful for power users
- Shiny body attracts scratch, fingerprints and dust
- Only USB, so look to the LaCie 250 GB Rugged Hard Disk if you need fire-wire ports too
- Only up to 320 GB right now, so look to the LaCie 500 GB Rugged Hard Disk with FireWire and USB if you need more capacity in a portable drive
- Have to spend your cash to get a case that should have been included

2. The Western Digital Passport reduced my 388 CD rack to a pocket-sized miracle. Likewise, all the photos, lesson plans, and Power-Point presentations that were cluttering my computer are now on my Passport.
Here's the low-down. I was a bit worried that I might have difficultly setting-up this little guy. My fears were alleviated in about 15 seconds. About a month ago, I downgraded from Vista to XP and had NO PROBLEMS with the installation of this product ... whatsoever (seems some people who run Vista have been having some trouble). It could not have been easier. (Thank you Western Digital!)
Now, the pre-installed software is REALLLLLY bad (that part is true). Western Digital should rethink this approach since nearly everyone removes it (and it deters some people from even purchasing their products). Minus one-star for being SERIOUSLY annoying!!
As mentioned by other reviewers, the product is whisper-quiet. And, while some folks found that they need an USB Power Adapter Y Cable, I did not. I have a two-year old Alien Area 51 m5550 and experienced no problems with power (regarding this product). I would advise that you purchase the Passport without the substitute cable and give it a try before you invest the extra cash.

Seagate FreeAgent Desktop 500 GB 3.5-Inch USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

Simply plug it in to any power source, connect the USB cable to any computer, and you're ready to go. Seagate ST305004FDA1E1-RK FreeAgent Desktop 500 GB 3.5-Inch USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

Technical Details

- 500 GB external hard drive connects to your computer via USB cable
- 7200 RPM spindle speed for high-speed performance and fast read times
- Footprint is no bigger than a stapler; Just plug it in and you're ready to go
Backup CDs, DVDs or store files and programs for on-the-go
- Includes external drive, USB 2.0 cable, AC power adapter, and quick start guide

Customer feedback:

1. If your sole purpose is to offload archives, then this is a great product. Most people don't think twice of backing up their existing data. Also, each version of windows comes with a backup program which originated from the Veritas Brand of Software. You can easily set the Free Agent Hardware and make it an active drive, then setup the Backup Software within MS 2000, XP, or Vista.
I've read reviews that seem to point out the burden of USB2 write speed. It makes no difference if the interface is Firewire or USB if the intent is to just backup data. If it takes a few extra seconds or minutes, no big deal. Either way the data will get to the disk and you can rest peacefully.

2. Love everything about this product! It came quickly and it is excellent! Brand new and works great!

Linksys WPC600N Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N PC Card

Customer feedback:

1. At first, my experience with this card was very similar to the other reviews. The connection was extremely slow and I could not get it to switch from wireless-A to wireless-N. I could only use A on the 5.0 GHz frequency or G on the 2.4 GHz frequency. I tried restarting my computer, trying with and without my firewall and security software, restarted my router, et cetera, and the connection remained poor. However, once I turned off the wireless network monitor (the green icon that appears in the lower right after you install the driver) and simply connected through the Windows "choose a wireless connection" screen, my connection was very fast, reliable, and otherwise just like being connected with an Ethernet cable. Since then, I have had no problems and I no longer use the wireless network monitor that came on the installation CD. I am not recommending that you disregard the installation instructions, but I do recommend not using the wireless network monitor afterward. Just connect via Windows and the connection is great.
As I type this, there are two walls between my router and the wireless adapter and I still have signal strength of 4 bars (out of 5) and speed of 162 Mbps. Nearer to the router, I routinely get 5 bars and 297 Mbps.

2. Wow! I went from a top of 54 MPS to 270 MPS! That is along with the Linksys WRT600 N wireless router. Internet speed test was about 4000 KBS before I used this adapter, now I am hitting 11849 KPS. I love it!

Linksys PLE200 PowerLine AV Ethernet Adapter

The PowerLine AV Adapter interfaces Ethernet devices to the HomePlug AV PowerLine network standard. Just plug the PowerLine AV Adapter into the wall, and connect your Ethernet-equipped device to the Adapter using the included network cable, and you've turned your whole house into network infrastructure!
Attach more computers to the network by simply plugging them into the wall anywhere in the house, using more PowerLine AV Adapters. Once your computers are connected to the network, they can share resources like printers and storage space, and all kinds of files -- music, digital pictures, and documents. With up to 100Mbps data rates, you can play lag-free head-to-head network computer games, and run media-centric applications like streaming video and Voice over IP telephony. And if you use a PowerLine AV Ethernet Adapter to interface one of the famous Linksys Broadband Routers from your cable or DSL Internet connection to your PowerLine AV network, you'll be able to get to the Internet from any computer in the house. The Linksys PowerLine AV Ethernet Adapter Kit is the perfect solution for high-speed, "no new wires", home or office networking.

Customer feedback:

1. These adapters work great, but the Linksys setup could save many hours of frustration and tech calls to your ISP and to Linksys if they gave more information to those who need one adapter hooked up to their modem/router. [The instructions gave no specific steps for this.]
#1..The first adapter must be configured on a PC that's attached to the modem/router you plan to use with it. [This may sound obvious, but my home network only had Macs directly hooked to the router, and the PC I was connecting was previously wireless downstairs at the very far end of the house. You can't configure the first adapter attached to the PC alone, then hook it back to router, like I tried to do.] Now you can configure it's twin where you want. However ...
#2..It makes a difference which outlet in your house you plug the second adapter into. My adapter was originally plugged into the farthest plug away from the modem/router, and the internet connection was very poor. Simply moving it to another outlet helped a lot.

2. There's no configuration required at all. Just plug one in to an outlet close to your router and another one in to an outlet anywhere you need another network connection, connect the Ethernet cables, and you're in business. I definitely recommend them.
This listing is for the PLE200, which is a single unit. This is what you might need if you are expanding your existing powerline network. If you're just starting out with powerline adapters, you'll need at least 2 adapters. So you might consider the PLK200, which is a kit containing 2 units.

# - Allows you to share your photos, music and movies on your computer with friends and family
# - Uses existing high-speed Wireless-N home network
# - Easily navigate menus with a single learning remote

Customer feedback:

1. It plays our recorded TV, pictures, DVDs ripped to XviD (not DVDs in the player), and music from the other room with an interface that looks just like Vista Media Center. Wife acceptance factor = high. We are using wired ethernet (100) and a 1080p tv via HDMI. The supplied remote is good. Speed of menus is acceptable (even faster, if you turn off transitions in the setup). FF, rewind, pause, etc. are all fine for Live/Recorded HD TV -- looks perfect on our 1080p tv.
XviD files are a little slow to start up on the DMA2100.
I had realistic expectations and we are happy!

2. I purchased two of these extenders in Januray to go with my two XBox 360's, and I am nothing but pleased. I ended up buying a QuadCore 6600-based PC to use as the media center, mainly because I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of upgrading my older machine to Vista. I am connecting it to a wired network; I haven't yet gotten a 802.11n router so I can't speak to how well it works wirelessly.
The interface is exactly like it is on the Vista machine. I don't experience any sluggishness - this might have to do with how powerful the PC is. It's easy to use, and my family thinks the interface is a big step up from my Time Warner cable box. This thing is really quiet too - if you get close to it when no one else is home you can hear some noise but I haven't been able to identify just what it is. Compared to the runway-noise level of the 360's, this is silent.

Linksys EZXS88W EtherFast 10/100 8-Port Workgroup Switch

Customer feedback:

1. If you're considering buying this switch, you most likely have more than a few computers to network. And if you're the casual home user, this switch will give you appreciable performance at a great price. As a geek with 4 constantly-on computers with a mixed OS network, I can say that this switch (which was an upgrade from a 5-port 10/100 hub) really improved my network connections.
First off, you should know the difference between "hubs" and "switches". Hubs are your typical central connecting device that will allow you to hook up more than one computer on to the network at a time. They are usually quite cheaper than switches, at the price of loss of performance. Switches have separate bandwidths for each port, unlike hubs; thus, allowing more traffic to go through between each computer on your network. Of course, if you're going to be doing nothing but sending e-mails and occasional web surfing, a cheap hub will do all of this for you. But for the heavy gamers or those that want to use network intensive tools will appreciate the individual bandwidth that each port gets.

2. This is a great little box for connecting a small network without breaking your bank. The EZXS88W has a great work/size ratio. It's small enough to set on top of a computer case and provides eight ports of full duplex, 10/100 networking.
It has a very informative display to give out info for connection speed, duplex connection and collision. The setup is as simple as plugging in the power and network cables. I have yet to run into any problems with this unit and would recommend it without a second thought.

Cisco Linksys SD2005 5-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch

The 5-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch provides non-blocking, wire speed switching for your 10, 100, and 1000 megabit network clients. Drop this switch in place of your current workgroup hub or switch, and you can upgrade your high-requirement workstations to full Gigabit speeds as necessary, while continuing to service other clients at their current speeds. Or build your network from the ground up, with appropriate link speeds for each users requirements. Either way, its perfect for graphics, multimedia, and other applications that have to move large files across the network quickly. With the 5-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch, you can connect your existing 10/100 Ethernet network to a Gigabit server backbone without any additional equipment.

Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter

The Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter lets you access the fastest and most advanced wireless solutions currently available. With this unit enabling your PC or laptop, you can run media-intensive applications at amazing speeds, without the hassle or expense of stringing a lot of wires. The Linksys Wireless-N USB Network Adapter uses the very latest in wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's Multiple-In, Multiple-Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Whereas ordinary wireless technologies are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually makes use of these reflections to increase the range while reducing dead spots in the coverage area. This means the signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections at up to three times the distance of standard Wireless-G, so the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. This Wireless-N adapter is fully backward compatible, so it works great with standard Wireless-G and -B routers, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N enabled, you can experience increased throughput by using twice as much radio band, which allows speeds up to 15 times that of standard Wireless-G.
To help protect your data and privacy, this wireless adapter can encode all its wireless transmissions with iron-clad, 256-bit Wireless Protected Access (WPA2) encryption. Yet, despite a robust and deep set of features and functionality, configuration is simple and easy with an included web browser-based configuration utility. The incredible speed of Wireless-N networking is ideal for media-centric applications like streaming video, gaming, and voice-over-IP telephony, and gives you plenty of headroom to run multiple media-intense data streams at the same time, without worrying about a degradation in performance.

Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter

Customer feedback:

1. I got this with my new linksys wireless-n router and this little thing works great. In a part of the house where I barely got a signal from my old dlink w-g router I know get a 70-80% strong signal with speeds between 250-350mbps!
I highly recommend this adapter to anyone. That stand, although it comes with the adapter, is not needed. The retail comes with an extra ~1ft long usb extension cord. Remember: All Linksys wireless-n adapters and routers are backwards compatible to w-b/g.

2. I have had three different USB network adapter in the last one year. Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter is the most stable and fastest one.
Prior to this one, I had a similar product from Belkins. Everytime I restarted my machine, somehow the device couldn't start by itself and I often had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it recognized. With Linksys WUSB300N, nothing like that happens. As soon as the computer starts, the device starts to work correctly.

Customer feedback:

1. Receiving the product is another revelation. I'm the obsessive-compulsive type who can see every single flaw, which tend to be plenty on mass produced products these days. I couldn't find one scratch on the brushed metal sides of this NAS case. The product is very solid, with hefty metallic casing (I don't think you can find any NAS box made of metal under $200.. or maybe even $500), that actually has a suede rubberized finish on top and bottom. The metal case proved to be important as it helped dissipated the heat of the drives as I turned off the fan with scripts later. It is also VERY spatially efficient, with no space wasted. The only gap between the drives were well thought out as cooling channel. I don't think it could get any smaller without hurting its function. The speed-controlled fan is very quiet to the point of being nearly silent; an amazing feat due to its size (40mm). I don't think I have ever seen a small fan that quiet. The lights are discreet, no Christmas colors. The box looked great and exuded quality. I can't complain about the build quality at all. It's just well made with solid components. D-link's accountant must be asleep at the switch.

2. It's a new product, and surely firmware updates will make it more stable as time goes on. Now on v1.02. But overall, I've had a great time with this, and few problems other than the normal Windows network browsing issues. I am now running backups from three systems to this NAS without any issues (Mac, Linux, and XP). The speed is very good on gigabit ethernet. Power management works well - the disks spin down after 5 minutes of inactivity, and it's more economical than running a full-blown PC to share data.

Linksys WRT600N Linksys Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link

The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router is really four devices in one box. First, there's the dual-band Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect to the network without wires. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together at up to gigabit speeds. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection.
We've also included a Storage Link that lets you easily add gigabytes of storage space onto your network using readily available USB 2.0 hard drives -- or plug in a USB flash disk for a convenient way to access your portable data files. The built-in Media Server streams music, video, and photos from the attached storage device to any UPnP compatible media adapter. And you can get to your files from anywhere in the world through the Internet.

Linksys WRT600N Linksys Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link

Technical Details

* Two simultaneous, separate, radio bands double your available bandwidth
* MIMO technology uses multiple radios per band to create robust signals for maximum range and speed, with reduced dead spots
* Connect a hard drive or flash-based USB storage device to allow access to your music, video, or data files from within your network, or through the Internet
* Advanced wireless security and SPI firewall for protection from Internet attacks

Customer feedback:

1. Purchased because needed extended range to reach a computer in my basement (3 floors down from my router) and I wanted to get a gigabit router. I also liked the storage link function. Overall, the router performs great. I don't get the blazing speeds in the basement, but I do get connection where my old G router did not quite make it there. I also believe that moving my router may also increase performance. Setup was very easy moving from one linksys router to another, however I would say that the wizard doesn't do everything it should...
I also like the interface (with the exception of storage link noted below) and it is VERY easy to set up. I use a VoIP phone and it was simple to set up the phone for QoS and that has worked flawlessly. (Another big reason for purchasing the phone.) You can set QoS by MAC address, IP address, ports, etc. Very few people use this function and you definitely should.

2. First thing I have to say is that the network storage feature does not work at all. The first time you set it up it works and after that it's anybody's guess.

Malibu 3-Pack Solar Landscape Plastic Flood Light Set with Remote Panel, Textured Black

Technical Details

* Easy to install
* Stays on up to 15 hours
* Bright white LED bulbs
* No electrical wiring necessary
* Attractive design to accent the garden

Customer feedback:

1. I bought this solar floodlight over a year ago for the sole purpose of providing enough illumination from a distance to get me into my front door without attracting bugs that could enter with me. It worked better than I could imagine. To my surprise, the blue-white LED bulbs don't seem to attract even a single insect. I wish I knew why they don't advertise it that way.
The lights are powered by three Ni-mh AA batteries of 1500 ma power. A full charge from a bright sunny day will still be providing some light come sunrise. A few consecutive cloudy days will reduce them to a dim glow in a few hours. I found that I could easily remove the batteries and refresh them in my own charger. You could also try swapping the batteries with higher power Ni-mh AA's of your own that now come in 2500+ ma power levels.

2. I need some night light in my front door area. Due to the nearby windors around the front door area, the motion sensor type of light fixtures don't work. I install the solar flood lights to the roof rafter and put the solar panel on the roof. With 3 LEDs in each light module (the package has 3 light modules), the output light is bright enough to light the front door path but not too strong to create light pollution. I am happy with the ease of installation and the performance of the LED lights.

Malibu Outdoor Solar-Powered Tiki Torch Light, 2-Pack

Solar lighting is the safest and easiest kind of outdoor lighting to install. It provides sufficient light for entrances, walkways, steps, or to indicate the location of dark obstacles. Each light fixture features a solar collector panel that converts sunlight into electrical energy. This energy is stored in rechargeable batteries used to illuminate the fixture at night. The batteries recharge in direct sunlight and should not have to be replaced for at least three years. Most solar products use LED (Light Emitting Diodes) as a light source because of their low power consumption and long life. LEDs are not replaceable, but their life expectancy typically exceeds 25 years, running 10 hours every night.

Breville BCG450XL Ikon Conical Burr Grinder

Beautifully designed, this conical burr grinder features adjustable settings for various grind options. Choose from ultra-fine for Turkish coffee or large and coarse for percolators. The settings offer consistently shaped grinds and even extraction, which is the key to producing flavorful coffee. In addition, the unit's metal conical burrs preserve more natural bean flavor than blade drivers due to the slower grind nature. The grinder comes equipped with a removable bean hopper that holds 1/2 pound of coffee beans, and its stainless-steel/polymer base offers start and stop control, as well as an on/off switch. Other highlights include a variable timer with 10 to 30 seconds of grind time, anti-static technology, and a removable burr for convenient cleaning. The conical burr grinder measures 5-1/4 by 7 by 11-1/4 inches.

Breville BCG450XL Ikon Conical Burr Grinder

Product Features

* Conical burr grinder with ultra-fine to coarse adjustable settings
* Variable timer with 10 to 30 seconds of grind time; anti-static technology
* Removable bean hopper holds 1/2 pound of coffee beans
* Stainless-steel/polymer base offers start and stop control, plus on/off switch
* Measures 5-1/4 by 7 by 11-1/4 inches

Customer feedback:

1. I have used three grinders in the past 5 years, one blade and two wheel burr grinders, all broke or were dusty and noisy. This is the first conical wheel grinder I have owned and I cannot compare it to its comparable competitor, the Capresso, and I have only used it a dozen times or so, However, I am impressed by its quality, it is beautifully made and the huge reduction in noise was most welcome. The big plus...I set the timer, press start and walk away, no holding lids down, no coffee flying around etc. Just for the reduction in noise, its quality and the fire and forget operation makes it a 5. It grinds coffee very consistently and the grind is adjusted easily.

2. I bought this grinder as a replacement for a previous burr grinder that was dying a slow, painful death. I now wish that I had put the poor old grinder out of its misery much earlier! This Breville unit is a vast improvement over every grinder I've used before.
For starters, it generates less than 50% of the noise I've heard from competing grinders. I have no idea why that should be, I just accept it and move on! The grounds are dispensed very neatly. There is no need to wipe up the surrounding countertop once the cycle is complete - all of the grounds arrive neatly in the little plastic receptacle.

* Supports the USB audio device specification 1.0
* Compliant with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1
* Compatible with Windows 98SE and up, and Mac OS 9.x and later

Customer feedback:

1. I have a Dell laptop (Precision M20) with pretty poor sound quality - lots of background noise and hiss no matter how I adjust the volume. I often like to listen to headphones both at work and at home to avoid distractions, but the poor sound quality of the built in sound card made the experience barely tolerable. I took a chance on this StarTech product and have been very impressed. I just plugged it into an unused USB port and after about a minute Windows XP had found a driver (did not have to use the included CD) and told me it was ready to go. I plugged in my headphones and immediately began to enjoy great sound.

2. So anyway, bottom line for me, for the price, not a bad purchase. The sound is good. I haven't tried the mic portion. It DID fix some of the crackling and it's certainly easy to transport. You just MIGHT get annoyed with it if your laptop only has 2 open USB ports since it's a slight squeeze to get anything to fit with it, but it DOES fit.

Ear Force X4 Dolby Digital Wireless Headphones

The Ear Force X4 wireless headphones push your Xbox 360 gaming experience to a whole new level with the thrill and realism of Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound. The Ear ForceX4 Wireless Headphones overcome this problem by playing both the game audio AND the online chat on a single set of high fidelity headphones. The result is the intense experience, privacy, clarity, and competitive edge of PC headphones on the Xbox 360 platform. The Ear Force X4 Xbox 360 Wireless Headphones let you totally focus on your game play and not become distracted by the noise around you. With Dobly surround sound pumped right into your ears, you can hear every nuance of the game all around you in a way that isn't possible when hearing it as background sound with speakers. * Digital input for highest XBOX sound quality, plus analog input for TV and other audio sources

Customer feedback:

1. Lightweight and everything as advertised. I wish the ear cups were a little larger, but the wireless feature is a huge blessing. I recommend if you can afford them. I have had two other 5.1 headphones, and these are the best.

2. I bought the X4's hoping they would have addressed the hissing and they had not. That being said the X4's have very good 5.1 sound. The hissing is at its loudest when the cable from the puck is plugged into the headphones. If I'm playing single player games I do not plug it in and they sound great. Even with the cable plugged in the hissing is only detremental when there is no game sounds or in a lobby and hardly noticeable in the heat of action.
A nice feature is the fact that I can receive 5.1 surround on my X4's and X3's at the same time which is nice for watching movies with the wife and not waking up the baby (and yes the X4's do sound better than the X3's in a side by side comparison over 5.1). Another nice feature is that it has an optical out so if I want to play the sound through my receiver and surround speakers I just turn on the receiver without rewiring.

Customer feedback:

1. The Pulsar has lights, vibration and you can connect with either USB or the usual Stereo Audio jack for your sound card. I liked that option because I have a Dell laptop that does not have a good sound card so I use USB. On my gaming computer I plug it into my X-Fi sound card. The sound is really good for the price you pay. The bass seems pretty deep for these speakers. Probably due to the extra vibration effects. I got a little tired of the vibration so I turned it down using the control box. The control box has several switches and dials that allow you to control the strength of the lights and vibration or turn them off completely. I wore them to a LAN center and the lights were a big hit. In a low light setting these lights are really cool. I can't see them, but everyone else could, which is kind of neat because they let people know if you're listening to something. They look good with the lights off too. I also would think that a DJ would like to have these since the lights blink with the game or music.

2. Good:

Affordable
Comfortable
Mic works great
Sound is better than expected
Good looking

Bad: (If I really want to be picky)

Gets a little warm when wearing for two hours in an 80 deg. room

Customer feedback:

1. I play my 360 on my computer monitor at home which is in the living room with my wife. She's usually watching TV so I wanted something that would give me the super quality 5.1 audio, but I needed it in a headset so I wouldn't disturb my wife. I also needed something that would work as a 360 headset so I wouldn't have to wear 2 headsets (one for xbox live and one for game sound).
This is the perfect solution. The sound quality (now that I have a replacement headset) is 2nd to none. They're very comfortable which is important for hours of gaming play. Did I mention the sound quality is great? It works very well with xbox live and they give you PLENTY of cord for the headset. It even includes an optical cable and has an adapter for hookup up a 5.1 computer sound card. That's a nice touch. I can use it for my computer too.... Like I would go back to the computer after the 360 though...

2. I use these for my Xbox 360 and recommend them to anyone who wants to enjoy games at full volume without bothering others (in my case, my wife). I nearly reached for the phone when, in Rainbow 6 during a Live game, the phone rang in one of the office cubes. It was to the right and behind me, where my phone is in the "real world." However, this time the ringing was in the game! I could also hear that someone left a radio on in their cube to the right of me. I also love that you can hear explosions and gunfire - even gun casings as they hit the ground - all coming from a specific direction.
